Oh Man- this is a LONG DRIVE! We started our day a bit late hoping this would give us a bit of an engery boost. It didn’t help Cathy’s driving, she hit a curb and ran a stop sign all before we left town. No where to go but up!
We stopped at an amethyst mine. These are pretty cool little places where you can dig through giant piles of red rocks and look for amethyst. We bought a whole bucket full of amazing and beautiful amethyst that we mined ourselves. Amethyst is Max’s birthstone!
Mining amethyst was actually surprisingly fun and we found some pretty cool gems.
The drive was LONG but beautiful.
We stopped at a Husky for lunch (at least it wasn’t Wawa) and the Winnie the Pooh monument.
We arrived in the Sault pretty late, but settled in for our last hotel sleep! We are all looking forward to our own beds which seem so close and yet so far.
