Guns N Roses!!!!!
No driving today. Whoop whoop. The Holiday Inn in Winnipeg has lovely laundry facilities so we took advantage of that and had a quiet sleep in, then did laundry while we ate breakfast and laid around.

With clean clothes we went to the Royal Canadian Mint for a tour. Fun fact- The original loonies had a different image. It was supposed to be a canoe and a paddler, however, the master stamp (dye) got stolen on route from the Ottawa Mint (which makes all dye’s) and the Winnipeg mint (which makes all coins). With fear of counterfeit coins hitting the market before legitimate ones do they re-designed the loonie with a loon on the front. We were very close to having a “canoeee”!

They have a gold bar worth over $700,000 on display – Max is seen here trying to make off with it.

We learned all about how they make coins and saw some really unique and beautiful collector coins on display.

We saw some wildlife at the mint.

We then had some lunch and rested up for Max’s first concert.

It was a great show. They can still rock it and did for over three hours. The people around us were really fun to hang out with and there were no disputes or crowd problems that we saw. Our ears are still ringing and our bones are still vibrating with Gn*nR. There is no going back for Max, he is a rocker now.

We weren’t back to our hotel until 1am. 🤘
