Medicine Hat to Regina
Well, there really isn’t much to report from today. The highlight of our drive was lunch in Swift Current. We found a perfect family diner and filled up on large servings of yummy food. The drive felt pretty long and pretty slow. This is how Max spent his day….
In truth, we made him nap. He was starting to look pale and tired again and we thought a day time nap might perk him up a bit- and it did!
We spent the night in Regina. Cathy got to fit in a visit with a friend and former co-worker Kelly. Our kids played in the gardens and park and we walked around the lake by Parliment. Definaetly a beautiful little spot in Regina. Kelly says we saw the best of Regina, I think her cute kids get that destination, even over the gardens.
We ordered pizza to our hotel room and watched a favourite TV show.
Regina to Winnipeg
Another long drive, with little to report on the way. We switched out drivers more frequently because the road was pretty mind numbing. We were excited to get to the ‘Peg for a few reasons. First- we were going to have dinner with a childhood friend of Cathy’s. Second- dinner was to be at an awesome Indian Resturant. And Third- we were spending two full nights in the same city. YAAAA.
We met up with our friends as planned and dinner was SO GOOD. I think it may of started a mango ice cream addiction. 🙂 We then walked around the Forks and up the river. Jane and Craig entertained us with a variety of stories about local events, and their previous homes around the area we walked. We even got to see the famed Golden Boy.
