We decided to take in the Island life and chill on Quadra. We slept in- oh- it was AH-MAZ-ING. We really took some time to recover from the busyness of the last couple of weeks.
We decided to take in the Island life and chill on Quadra. We slept in- oh- it was AH-MAZ-ING. We really took some time to recover from the busyness of the last couple of weeks. We did some reading, chilling, movie watching and some touring. We had lunch at a nearby restaurant- where we had an organic, fair-trade, free range meal served by a somewhat angry hippy. We then went to Rebecca’s Spit- which is a provincial park along a peninsula and collected only the amount of driftwood and rocks that would fit in the wheel well of our rental car- which is still more then we will ever need. It was a beautiful park.
We found a winery on the Island and after sampling their wine settled on a couple of favourites for our return trip home.
We saw a working lighthouse that was built in 1912.
Last but not by least- we saw the Forest Moon of Endor.
It was so nice to re-charge our batteries and to eat homemade food for a couple of days. We are packing up and leaving this beautiful island tomorrow.
